What Not to Do When Stopped for a DUI

DUI suspect told cop: ‘I am going to have someone from Colombia come here and kill you’

Orlando police said Yamil Arcadio Colon-Sanchez was only facing a driving under the influence charge before he threatened his arresting officer Wednesday.

“I am going to have someone from Colombia come here and kill you,” Colon-Sanchez reportedly told Officer William Becton at a DUI testing center.

When the officer replied, “Like you have the means to have me killed,” an arrest report released Thursday said, Colon-Sanchez responded, “Yes I do.”

Colon-Sanchez, 39, then blew in Becton’s face, the report said.

Colon-Sanchez was arrested on additional charges of threatening a public servant and resisting without violence.

On Thursday, Colon-Sanchez made his first court appearance and was being held at the Orange County Jail on $1,600 bond. A judge also ordered he have no contact with Becton.
